Print-ready vectors with CMYK and spot colours

Turn logos and illustrations into editable PDF, AI and EPS files with CMYK values or named spot colours, written as real separations.

Printers need vector artwork in the right colours, not a screenshot. PathSnapper turns logos and illustrations into editable vector files with CMYK values or named spot colours. Flat logos stay flat, and shaded artwork keeps its shading.

Print colours that survive the trip to the printer

  • CMYK. Set Print colours: CMYK and PathSnapper writes ink values in PDF, AI and EPS. It converts each colour for you, or you can type the exact CMYK values from the brand guidelines, colour by colour.
  • Spot colours. Give a swatch a name such as PANTONE 2768 C, or load a swatch library and match your colours to it. Named spot colours are written as real separations, so the printer sees them as their own inks, in either colour mode.
  • RGB when the file is for screens, or for printers who convert colour themselves.

The right format for each job

FormatKeeps
PDFEverything: gradients, full shading, soft highlights, CMYK and spot colours. One page exactly the size of the artwork.
AIThe same as PDF, saved so Illustrator opens it as editable artwork.
EPSGradients, CMYK and spot colours, for workflows that still ask for EPS.
SVGGradients for web and screen (SVG is always RGB).

Clean artwork, not just a trace

  • Real colours. Anti-aliasing and JPEG noise are ignored, so a three-colour logo comes out as three colours.
  • True geometry. Straight lines, round circles and sharp corners, with curves fitted to sub-pixel edges.
  • Shared edges. Neighbouring colours share one boundary while you edit, so moving a point never opens a hairline gap that shows white on press.
  • Gradients and shading. Smooth ramps become real gradients, and complex shading (chrome, 3D lettering) is kept in PDF and AI.

Size

PDF, AI and EPS export one pixel as one point (1/72 inch), and because the result is a vector, you can scale it to any size in your design software without losing quality.

One boundary. Two shapes. Perfectly in sync.

PathSnapper traces every boundary once and shares it between the shapes on either side. Move a point and both colours move with it: no hairline gaps, no overlaps to repair.

When you export, each colour becomes its own independent, closed shape, and the edges where colours meet still match exactly.

FAQ

Questions

Can I use my brand's exact CMYK values?

Yes. PathSnapper converts each colour for you, or you can type the exact CMYK values for each colour under its swatch.

Are PANTONE colours kept as spot colours?

Yes. Name a swatch (for example PANTONE 2768 C), or load a swatch library and match to it. Named spot colours stay spot colours in PDF, AI and EPS, whichever colour mode you choose.

Does SVG keep CMYK?

No, SVG is always RGB. Use PDF, AI or EPS for print colours.
