Last Updated: 14/10/2026
Welcome to PathSnapper. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the PathSnapper website, web application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
PathSnapper is a product operated by Mark Muller, trading as m-spacemedia ("we", "us", or "our"), a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. All services and support are provided by us.
By accessing or using PathSnapper, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using PathSnapper, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
PathSnapper is an online tool that turns raster images, such as logos, icons, lettering and illustrations, into editable vector artwork. It includes:
- Colour detection and separation, with tools to merge, change, add and remove colours
- Editing of the colour map before tracing
- Tracing to curves, straight lines, circles and gradients, and editing of individual points
- Export as SVG, PDF, AI, EPS and DXF, with optional CMYK and named spot colours
- Saved projects, so you can return to your work later
- An optional AI clean-up for blurry or blocky images, which runs on your own device
Images you open are processed by our tracing engine on servers we operate. The AI clean-up runs in your web browser; it does not send your image to us or to any third party.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.
4. Plans, Passes and Pricing
You can use PathSnapper with a PathSnapper Pro subscription, billed monthly or yearly, or with a timed pass that gives the same access for 24 hours or 7 days for a single payment. All payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, who sells the subscription to you, handles payment, tax and invoices, and provides customer service for payment matters. By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's terms for all payment-related matters.
Payment emails may take you through our shared m-spacemedia billing hub before returning you to PathSnapper. The hub provides billing terms, a refund policy and a privacy notice. Your PathSnapper account and access remain separate from our other products. Displayed local prices include estimated applicable tax; checkout confirms your billing location, currency and final amount.
4.1 Free Preview
- There is no free trial of PathSnapper Pro. You can preview how PathSnapper traces your own image free, without an account, on the Try it free page. The preview shows pictures of the result and does not include the vector file.
- The free preview is limited to a few images per visitor and per day. Using automated means to get around these limits is not allowed.
- To try the full app, buy a 24-hour pass (see 4.2). It does not renew.
4.2 Timed Passes
- A pass gives full access to the Service for 24 hours or 7 days, starting the moment your payment is confirmed.
- A pass is a one-off payment. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel: access simply ends when the pass runs out.
- If you buy another pass while one is running, its time is added after the current pass ends.
- Refund eligibility for a pass follows applicable consumer rights and Paddle’s policy, as explained in our Refund Policy.
- You do not need a pass while you have an active Pro subscription.
4.3 Billing
- Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis, monthly or yearly.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date.
- If a renewal payment fails, you keep access for up to 3 days while Paddle retries the payment. After that, access is paused until payment succeeds.
- Pricing Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Any changes apply to future billing cycles and not retroactively.
4.4 Cancellation and Payment Handling
- Payment Handling: All payment processing, disputes, refunds, and chargebacks are handled by Paddle in accordance with their terms and our Refund Policy.
- Cancellation: You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account page. You keep access until the end of the current billing period, after which the subscription does not renew.
- Deleting your account ends your subscription or pass immediately and permanently deletes your saved projects.
4.5 Saved Projects After Your Access Ends
When your subscription ends or your pass runs out, your saved projects are kept but the app is unavailable until you subscribe or buy a pass again. 90 days after your access ends, your saved projects are deleted. We will email you a reminder 14 days beforehand. Subscribing or buying a pass before then restores access to them.
5. Your Artwork and Output
- You keep your rights. You retain all rights in the images you upload and in the vector files you create with the Service. We claim no ownership of them.
- You must have the right to use your images. You confirm that you own the images you upload or have permission from the owner to convert and use them. You are responsible for how you use the output, including any trademarks, logos or copyright works it contains.
- Licence to us. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and transmit your images and projects solely to provide the Service to you: tracing them, saving them when you ask, and showing them back to you.
- No training. We do not use your images or projects to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not share them with anyone except the service providers needed to run the Service (such as our hosting provider).
- Images you open are held in our tracing engine's memory while you work (and for up to 30 minutes after you stop) and are stored only when you save a project.
You may use PathSnapper and the files you create with it for personal and commercial work, including work for your clients.
6. Accuracy of Results and AI Clean-up
6.1 Automatic Tracing
Tracing is automatic and the result depends on the image you provide. Vectors may contain inaccuracies, such as missing detail, extra points, or shapes that differ slightly from the original. Please check your files before printing, cutting, engraving, manufacturing, or any other use where errors are costly. We do not guarantee that any output is accurate, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose.
6.2 AI Clean-up
The optional AI clean-up uses the open-source Real-ESRGAN model (BSD licence), run on your device with ONNX Runtime. The first time you use it, your browser downloads the model and runtime from our website. The clean-up changes the image before tracing and may alter or remove fine detail; results can vary between devices. It works on your device only, so its speed depends on your hardware.
6.3 Changes to the Service
We improve PathSnapper over time, so tracing results, features and file output may change between versions. We do not guarantee that tracing the same image will always give identical results.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Upload images that you do not have the right to use, or that are illegal, abusive, or infringe the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the tracing engine, its algorithms, or the Service's source code
- Access the tracing engine other than through the PathSnapper app, or use automated systems, bots, or scripts to process images or access the Service
- Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers connected to it
- Circumvent any security measures, access controls, or usage limits, including the limits on the free preview (for example by creating multiple accounts)
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service itself to third parties
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to the platform, software, tracing engine, design, trademarks, branding, and underlying technology, are owned by m-spacemedia or its licensors. Third-party components are used under their own licences.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms for as long as you have an active subscription or pass.
9. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- PathSnapper is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including the cost of printing, materials, production, or reprints caused by errors in exported files
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. References to "we", "us", or "our" in these Terms include Mark Muller personally, trading as m-spacemedia, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, internet or telecommunications failures, cyber attacks, labour disputes, or government actions.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mark Muller, trading as m-spacemedia, its affiliates, agents, licensors, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any claim that images you uploaded or files you created infringe the rights of a third party.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account page.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for suspension or termination include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, abuse of the free preview, or conduct that we reasonably believe harms the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
These Terms may be translated into languages other than English for convenience. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between the English version and a translated version, the English version shall prevail.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
